Good evening everyone. I have gotten a few e-mails from people around Middlesex County in regard to the rosters for both teams in the upcoming GMCBCA Senior All-Star Game, which is scheduled to take place on Thursday night, April 17th at Perth Amboy High School. Here is the latest of what I know: The rosters have not been determined yet. Here’s why. Last week, on April 9th, I received an e-mail from Cardinal McCarrick head coach, Joe Lewis, who is expected to be one of the coaches of the two squads later this week since he was in the GMCT Final.
In the e-mail, Lewis disclosed that all the boys basketball head coaches in the Greater Middlesex Conference need to be talked to about their players so that the final list of players on both teams is that…final rosters. What that means is that nobody wants to have players on the rosters that end up not being able to play, and others that take their spots in the game not appearing on the roster. We want to have a complete roster so that no one player gets overlooked. When I get any new information on this situation, I will try to post an update as soon as possible.
