Rutgers Elite Team Camp–Schedule

PISCATAWAY, NJ–On Friday, GMC Hoops received the schedule for the 2008 Rutgers Elite Team Camp that was scheduled to be at the RAC. Originally, when the web site received the news that the camp was taking place this weekend, there was supposed to be two sessions. The first one was supposed to be on Friday night, and go until Saturday afternoon while the second one was slated for Saturday night into Sunday afternoon.

Upon receiving the schedule from Director of Basketball Operations, Dennis Gregory, GMC Hoops learned that there was only going to be one session that would run on Saturday night and finish up on Sunday morning and afternoon. Among the festivities scheduled was a pizza party at the Embassy Suites Hotel, an Awards Ceremony after the completion of all the games, and a Barbeque in front of the RAC on Sunday afternoon. All in all there was a total of 16 teams from around the area including squads from Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Among the notable squads: Blair Academy, Bishop Loughlin, Christ the King, Linden, Mount Vernon, Paterson Catholic, Plainfield, St. Anthony’s, and St. Benedict’s.

GMC Hoops was there to cover the final day of action on Sunday with notes from all four rounds of games.
