GMC Hoops–2010-11 Scrimmages Schedule

The site only plans to see five scrimmages this year, but the schedule may change as we get deeper into the pre-season. Below is the list of scrimmages the site plans to see.
- Decmeber 7, 2010–Roselle Park at Carteret, 4:00 PM
- December 8, 2010–New Providence at Metuchen, 4:00 PM
- December 9, 2010–Union Catholic at Edison, 3:45 PM
- December 10, 2010–Rutgers Prep at Wardlaw, 4:30 PM
- December 14, 2010–Roselle Park at Dunellen, 4:00 PM

College Hoops–GMC Players Playing Basketball At Other DIII Schools

College Hoops–GMC Players Playing Basketball In The Northeast 10
November 30, 2010 on 11:26 pm | In College Hoops | Comments OffSOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ–On Monday night, GMC Hoops searched for former standout players from the Greater Middlesex Conference that are now playing Division II hoops in the Northeast-10 conference. Currently, there are two players from schools that are in the GMC that are competing for colleges and universities in the Northeast-10.
- Jeff Adkins (Piscataway)–University of New Haven
- Corey Boland (Wardlaw-Hartridge)–Southern New Hampshire University
GMC Hoops plans to cover a Division II game on Friday when it sees Felician in action at the East Stroudsburg Tournament against Shippensburg.

College Hoops–GMC Players In The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference
November 29, 2010 on 11:46 pm | In College Hoops | Comments OffSOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ–In anticipation of our trip to the Poconos on Friday to see Felician take on Shippensburg in the opening round of the East Stroudsburg tournament, GMC Hoops browsed around the CACC web site, and the sites of all its member schools, and found a couple former standouts playing here at the Division II level. Below is the list of all the former GMC players now playing in the CACC.

Note: There are also a couple former GMC girls standouts playing in the CACC as Dunellen’s Lauren Staats and Inayah Williams of Piscataway are on the squad at Georgian Court University.

Two GMC players are on the Wilkes squad. Below is the list of all former GMC standouts playing in the Middle Atlantic Conference.

GMC Hoops will be back on the college hoops beat on Wednesday night with a trip to Harwood Arena on the main campus of Kean University to see the Cougars take on TCNJ in a conference game from the NJAC.
St. Joe’s To Represent GMC In 2011 Prime Time Shootout
November 29, 2010 on 4:00 pm | In St. Joseph's Hoops, Prime Time Shootout | Comments OffTRENTON, NJ–On Monday, GMC Hoops learned that St. Joseph’s of Metuchen will be the lone GMC representative in this season’s Prime Time Shootout, which will be occurring at several different spots and times during the course of the season. The Falcons will open the final set of games the weekend of February 11-13th, 2011 at Kean University.
St. Joe’s will be taking on Pennington Prep of the Patriot Conference in the first of four games played on Friday, February 11th at Kean’s Harwood Arena. The Prime Time Shootout has expanded to include a Christmas Tournament at Trenton Catholic, contests at Morgantown, West Virginia during the weekend of January 21st and 22nd, Philadelphia during the weekend of January 28th and 29th, and Kean University. GMC Gridiron–Top Ten–Week Twelve–November 28, 2010
November 29, 2010 on 8:56 am | In GMC Football | Comments OffSOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ–GMC Hoops has put together a Top Ten for football in the Greater Middlesex Conference after the games played in Week Twelve. The Piscataway Chiefs remain atop the poll while Sayreville keeps pace at number two. The rest of the poll stays basically the same with the only exception being South Brunswick moving ahead of North Brunswick.
