2009 Scarlet Shootout–Results

PISCATAWAY, NJ–Over the weekend, GMC Hoops was unable to get out to the Rutgers Athletic Center near the Livingston Campus of Rutgers University to take in games in the inaugural Scarlet Shootout, but did manage to get some of the results from Matt Bloom, Rutgers Men’s Basketball Basketball Operations Coordinator. Of the five teams from the GMC that competed, Monroe got the farthest in this team tournament by reaching the Elite Eight before losing to Linden. In the final, Ridge lost to Paterson Eastside by a final score of 52-41. Below are some of the key results from this weekend’s action.

Scarlet Shootout–Elite Eight

• Paterson-Eastside defeated Rutherford
• Trenton Central defeated American Heritage (FL)
• Ridge defeated Middletown (NY)
• Linden defeated Monroe
