GMC Football–Results–Week Nine–Friday Night

November 6, 2009 on 11:58 pm | In GMC Football |

Just got in about 30 minutes ago from a wild game played between Old Bridge and Toms River East. The Raiders scored on their first five possessions of the game to take a 34-0 lead early in the third quarter, but the Knights sophomore sensation and basketball standout, Julian Daley ran a kickoff return back for 95 yards to start an Old Bridge rally that included a 10 yard run on a 4th Down and 2 play from the Knights 27, and two long touchdown passes by Michael Larson to pull within 34-21.

However, Old Bridge was unable to get any closer as Mario Steriti finished off a 41-21 win with a late touchdown for the Raiders, which are now 8-0 on the season. Old Bridge falls to 3-5 on the year. Tonight’s game was the highest scoring game this season on the gridiron for GMC Hoops with 62 points. The previous mark was 55 in the game between Carteret and Bishop Ahr on October 2nd.
