Holiday Tournament Chaos

Blizzard Forces Many Tournaments To Shift Their Schedules

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ–The wintry mess left behind by the holiday blizzard has forced many schools to scramble in order to get their holiday tournaments in this week. Yesterday, GMC Hoops reported that the Cardinal McCarrick JV freshmen tournaments scheduled for yesterday and today, were postponed. Then, came news that the Anthony J. Cotoia tourney scheduled to begin Monday afternoon had been rescheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday. Now, there is more news concerning the holiday tourneys.

The site learned from the In The Paint blog at MyCentralJersey.com, that all the tournaments scheduled for Monday were also rescheduled. In addition, we learned that Middletown South withdrew from the Cotoia Tournament. As a result, there will be only one opening round or semifinal game played between J.P. Stevens and South Plainfield at 2:00 PM with the winner taking on Perth Amboy (gets a bye) in the Championship on Wednesday night at 7:00 PM.

Now here are the rest of the changes:
