LINDEN, NJ–On Wednesday, the semifinals took place in the 2011 Linden Summer League at the Linden P.A.L. In the first semifinal, St. Joseph’s battled Linden for the second straight year. The Falcons trailed 20-19 at the half, and 26-21 midway through the third quarter before putting together a 12-4 tear for a 33-30 lead heading into the fourth. Linden scored the first seven points of the fourth to take a 37-33 lead midway through the final frame before St. Joe’s rallied again with a 6-2 spurt to tie the game at 39-39. The Falcons would tie the game again at 41-41 before Linden’s Quadri Moore connected on a three pointer from the left corner for a 44-41 lead with 35 seconds left, and hung on for a 44-42 win. Second Quarter

3:16–LIN–leads 16-13
3:00–LIN–draws foul, and makes 1 of 2 FTs for a 17-13 lead.
2:00–STJ–Hasan dishes to Marcus Ashamole for layup and foul to convert a three point play for a 17-16 LIN lead.
1:30–STJ–Hasan draws foul, and makes 1 of 2 FTs for a 17-17 tie.
1:00–LIN–three pointer from right wing for a 20-17 lead.
0:30–STJ–Jordan Tapia gets shot to fall for a 20-19 LIN lead.

8:49–STJ–swipes steal.
8:34–STJ–Hasan drives in from right side for layup, and a 21-21 tie.
8:00–LIN–draws foul, and makes both FTs for a 23-21 lead.
7:31–STJ–Hasan steps out of bounds.
7:07–LIN–drills three pointer from right corner for a 26-21 lead.
6:49–STJ–Tapia makes shot and is fouled for a three point play, and a 26-24 lead.
