Here are highlights from the action in the third game of day one action between top ranked St. Joseph’s and Westfield in the 2016 SFIC Festival at Kean University’s Harwood Arena. Led by Tyus Battle, who collected 21 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks, and a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds by Bree Tyree, St. Joseph’s was able to prevail in overtime over a Westfield team that tied the contest at the end of regulation on a three by Parker Hess. Joes outscored Westfield by a 9-2 margin in the extra session as Battle sank a jumper from the right elbow for a 55-53 lead, and then Tyree made two pairs of free throws down the stretch. Hess ended up with 15 points while Jelani Pierre and Owen Murray each added 14 in a losing cause for Westfield.
