Here are highlights from the action in the opening round game of the 2016 North Jersey Section 2 Group 4 playoffs between 12th seeded East Orange Campus and 5th seeded Woodbridge. The Barrons of WHS got off to a fast start by jumping out to an 8-0 lead by the 6:13 mark of the first as both Hura Blaine and Quassim Glover scored 4 points.
However, East Orange Campus led by Jordan Taylor, who had three treys in the first half for 9 points and Zack Williams, who scored 12 of his 16 first half points in the opening period, took over to lead the Jaguars on a 40-10 surge over the final 14:13 of the half including 29 of the last 34 points to take a 40-18 lead at halftime. East Orange cruised from there to a 71-53 victory.
Taylor finished with 21 points on 7 three pointers while Williams ended up with 18 points including a fourth quarter dunk. Marquise Kindel chipped in with 13 points for the winners while Quassim Glover led Woodbridge in a losing cause with 20 points.
