SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ–With the GMC Hoops Awards now official and posted online, GMC Hoops awarded the 2008 Scholar Athlete Award winner with a scholarship for the first time. With money used from donations received this past year as well as his own personal savings, Greg Machos gave a $500.00 scholarship to Jordan Teicher of Kendall Park, and South Brunswick High School. Jordan, who is now a freshman at Tufts University was the top of the best class ever for the GMC Hoops All Academic Team. In addition to a solid grade point average, and fine basketball play during the 2007-08 season, Teicher excelled on his SAT’s, and in other extracurricular activities. Congratulations, Jordan, and best of luck in the future.
