GMC Boys Basketball Alignments for 2020-21 and 2021-22

New Brunswick, Aquinas, Carteret, Dunellen, Highland Park All Move Up While Somerset Tech Joins Conference

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ—Some changes are coming to the Greater Middlesex Conference in terms of boys basketball once things resume in the next calendar school year. The 2020-21 season will be the start of a new two year alignment cycle in the GMC, and several teams will be on the move.

As reported earlier this year, Somerset Tech of Bridgewater will be joining the Greater Middlesex Conference as the 32nd member school in boys basketball, and will be joining the Gold Division. Meanwhile, New Brunswick will be moving up to the Red from the White, defending GMCT Boys champion St. Thomas Aquinas and Carteret will move up from the Blue Division to the White, and Dunellen and Highland Park will be coming up to the Blue from the Gold. Below is the new division alignments for the next two seasons, 2020-21 and 2021-22 (New teams in Bold):
