NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ–On Thursday night, GMC Hoops headed out to New Brunswick Middle School to take in the Championship Game of the 2016 Odie Page Summer League. Top seeded New Brunswick took on third seeded Elizabeth for the title.
The Minutemen got off to a fast start by jumping out to a 13-4 lead, but New Brunswick roared back with a 17-3 tear that included a three from Jodie Harris, a bucket by Curtis Revan, and a basket and a foul from German Pimentel to take a 21-16 lead.
However, Elizabeth converted a rare four point play with two minutes left in the first half to spark a 12-0 run that lasted into the early moments of the second half and never looked back as it led by as many of 16 en route to a 52-39 victory. Below are game notes from the action:
