GMC Hoops Game Notes–Camden County College @ Brookdale County College–November 15, 2016

LINCROFT, NJ–On Tuesday night, GMC Hoops began its college basketball coverage for 2016-17 with a JUCO game from Region 19 and the Garden State Athletic Conference between Brookdale Community College and Camden County College. Led by the likes of former Cardinal McCarrick and J.P. Stevens standout Sky Harris and Perth Amboy Tech standout, Jordan Little, the Jersey Blues jumped out to a 25-9 lead with 8:02 to go in the first half, and didn’t let Camden get any closer than 12 points the rest of the way en route to a 81-62 victory. Below are game notes from the action:

First Half

17:30–BCC–At Brookdale CC, where the Jersey Blues lead 4-2 after a follow by McCarrick’s Sky Harris off a missed shot by Jordan Little.

14:29 left in 1st half & Brookdale C.C. Now leads Camden CC 14-6 after a 10-4 run including a score by Jordan Little and two FGs by Harris.

8:02 left in the first half and Brookdale CC leads Camden CC, 25-9. Sky Harris has 8 points so far for Brookdale. Jordan Little has several blocked shots.

6:47 left in the first half and Brookdale CC calls time after a transition layup by Camden CC closes the gap to 27-11.

4:59 to play in the first half and Brookdale CC takes a 33-15 lead over Camden CC after a steal for a layup.

1:30 to go in 1st half and Brookdale CC leads Camden CC, 38-21 after a score by Camden on a jumper in the paint over the outstretched hand of Jordan Little.

0:00–We are the half with Brookdale CC leading Camden CC 43-25 after a layup from the right low block by Amboy Tech’s Jordan Little.


Second Half

16:20 left in the game and Brookdale CC leads Camden CC 49-33 thanks in part to a bucket in the paint by Jordan Little.

14:37 to go in regulation and Brookdale CC calls time after making two FTs for a 53-38 lead.

14:00–CC–pull within a dozen at 53-41 on a three pointer from the left wing.

9:46 to go in the game and Brookdale CC now leads 64-42 after an 11-1 year including a score by Sky Harris and a bucket by Jordan Little.

4:55 left and Brookdale CC now leads 73-47 after a trey from the left wing by Old Bridge’s Dante Whipple. The Jersey Blues have scored 9 of the last 14 points.

0:00–Game just ended with Brookdale CC defeating Camden CC, 81-62. Whipple netted two FTs down the stretch for the Jersey Blues.

Brookdale improves to 2-1 on the young season and is scheduled to play Middlesex County College at home next Tuesday night.
