NEPTUNE, NJ–In the first GMC game of the evening at the 2014 Hoop Group Headquarters Fall League, the Old Bridge Knights continued to roll with a dominant performance against Long Branch. The Knights were on the attack in the first half. Forcing turnovers on the defensive end, Old Bridge got out in transition for a number of scores, and also made good on three pointers from Stephen Strom, Connor Romano, and Sean Olsen to take a 23-2 lead with under ten minutes to go in the first half. Leading 40-13 at the intermission, the Knights showed patience and good ball movement against Long Branch’s zone defense to set up more threes from Romano as well as treys from C.J. Santoro and Strom to round out the 67-42 victory to improve to 4-0 on the fall. Below are game notes from the contest.
