GMC Hoops Game Notes–Piscataway @ Franklin–Hoops for Troops Jubilee–January 30, 2016

SOMERSET, NJ–On Saturday night, GMC Hoops traveled over to Franklin High School to take in the final two games of the day at the 2016 Hoops for Troops Jubilee including the nightcap between longtime rivals, Franklin and Piscataway. The Chiefs entered the contest with 4 wins in their last 5 games, but Franklin stormed out to an 18-7 first quarter lead thanks to a 12-3 edge in points scored from beyond the arc, and led 29-14 late in the first half before P-Way rallied to eventually pull within five at 40-35 midway through the fourth. Franklin managed to hang on for the 54-45 win with a 14-10 edge the rest of the way. Below are game notes from the contest:

First Quarter

4:12 left in the first quarter and Franklin has raced out to an 11-4 lead on three treys and a drive for a layup.
