SOUTH AMBOY, NJ–In the third game of the Friday quadrupleheader at the 2016 Raritan Bay Summer League at South Amboy Middle-High School on Friday night, the Central Jersey Jayhawks were in action again versus Roselle. After a little over seven minutes of action, the score was tied at 2-2, but then both teams got rolling by combining to score 31 points over the last 12:49 as the Jayhawks put together a 22-9 surge to end the half for a 24-11 lead at the intermission.
In the second half, Roselle rallied back with a 20-9 surge of its own to pull within two at 33-31 with a little over nine minutes remaining, but couldn’t get any closer as the Jayhawks closed the game on a 15-7 spurt for the 48-38 win. Derek Astarita and Alex Santiago led the charge with four points each while Eric Sokolowski added a late score to help seal the win. Sean Kudelka and Kieran Hodder were big on the boards with several blocked shots early on. Below are game notes from the action:
