NEPTUNE, NJ–On Monday night, GMC Hoops traveled down to the Hoop Group Headquarters to take in some of the 9:00 PM action at the 2016 HGHQ Fall League. In action was the lone team from the Greater Middlesex Conference, Sayreville, which was playing Toms River North of the Shore Conference’s Class A South Division.
Trailing 42-32 with 7:42 remaining in the contest, Sayreville closed the game on a 17-3 tear including 15 points by Ryan O’Leary for the 49-45 victory. O’Leary finished with 21 points while St. Joseph’s transfer, Xavier Townes chipped in with 8 along with a number of assists to lead the Bombers in the win. Below are game notes from the action:
