HAMILTON, NJ–In the second game of the GMC Hoops quadrupleheader at the 2016 Summer Primetime Shootout at Trenton Catholic Academy, South Brunswick took on a post-graduate school, NIA Prep of Newark. The Vikings played well throughout much of the game, and actually led by 10 on a couple of occasions in the second half including a 45-35 lead with eight minutes left after a three pointer by Mike Ugarte. However, NIA Prep stepped up the defensive pressure, and finished the game on a 16-4 tear including a three point play with 7.9 seconds left for a 51-49 victory. Below are game notes from the action:
