In the third and final game of the GMC Hoops tripleheader at the 2016 Summer Primetime Shootout at Trenton Catholic Academy, South Brunswick took on another Trenton area school, Trenton Central. Once gain, the Vikings went toe-to-toe with the Tornadoes and pulled within one at 31-30 on a three pointer by Mike Ugarte with about 11 minutes to play.
However, Trenton embarked on a 16-4 tear over a span of about 4:15 to take a 47-34 lead with 6:44 remaining. South Brunswick battled back again with a 14-2 spurt capped by two free throws from Tavian Alford for a 49-48 Trenton lead, but the Tornadoes made 3 of 4 from the line over the last 29 seconds to come away with the 52-48 victory.
