Here are old school highlights from the first of several signature non-conference wins by J.F. Kennedy during the 2014-15 season against Morris Catholic in the opening round of the 2014 J.P. Flynn Holiday Tournament at Mendham High School.
Trailing 27-20 at the half, J.F. Kennedy rallied with a 36-22 surge over the final two periods for a 56-49 victory. Senior Joe Duffy, who has since gone on to play college basketball at D3 FDU-Florham, led the way on this day with a game high 20 points. Stepp Oziegbe chipped in with 14 points for the winners while Amir Allen led Morris Catholic with 19 points.
Kennedy advanced to play Mendham in the semifinal round, and lost and then fell to Poly Prep of New York in the third place consolation game. The Mustangs eventually finished the season at 11-15.
