Here is a slideshow of photos taken from the action in the 7th place game at the 2014 Anthony J. Cotoia Tournament in South Plainfield between J.P. Stevens and South Plainfield.
J.P. Stevens jumped out to a 26-12 second quarter lead behind the scoring of Michael Lionikis and the three point shooting of Michael Katims. South Plainfield would rally though behind the shooting of Lamont Williams, who hit a three pointer that pulled the Tigers within five at 57-52 in the final minutes, but JPS made 6 of 7 from the foul line courtesy of Lionikis and Alex Corrigan to come away with a 63-56 victory.
Corrigan ended up with a 17 points while Lionikis added 13, and Nick Dooley led the Hawks with a team high 18. Williams finished with a game high 19 points. The Hawks improved to 2-4 on the season while the Tigers lost their fourth straight to fall to 1-4.
