The Mustangs advanced to the preliminary round thanks to a 23-2 surge in the final 10 minutes of action to break away from a 23-23 tie for a 48-25 lead en route to a 50-32 victory. Kush Patel led Kennedy with 12 points including 6 in the fourth quarter. Joe Duffy chipped in with 10 while Kobie Wells added 8 points including 6 in the fourth period. Trevon Blakey led all scorers with a game high 14 points for New Brunswick.
