Here are highlights from the action in top seeded St. Joseph’s win over 9th seeded Piscataway in the 2017 Greater Middlesex Conference Boys Tournament Quarterfinals at New Brunswick High School.
The Falcons got off to a fast start by scoring the first 8 points of the game including a three pointer by Mike Granda and a layup and a three pointer by Tyree Taganeca-Ford, and then got a buzzer beating shot to end the first period by Letrell West for a 21-13 lead.
From there, St. Joseph’s gradually pulled away with a dominant performance in an 81-57 victory to advance to the GMCT Final Four for the 10th straight year. West led the way with a monster performance of 41 points. Piscataway was led by D’Ondre Dent with 25 points.
