Here are highlights from the action in the 2016 Perth Amboy/GMC Freshmen Tourney Championship between 2nd seeded St. Joseph’s-Green and top seeded Edison. The Freshmen Falcons of St. Joseph’s-Green took a 30-15 halftime lead, and scored the first points of the third before Edison went on a 28-11 surge to tie the game with under 30 seconds to go. Then, Chris Carrera took an inbounds pass from the sideline, and scored on a three pointer just before the buzzer to give St. Joseph’s-Green a 46-43 victory. Carrera finished with a team high 12 points while Jalen Murray chipped in with 11 for the winners. Christian Wantong led the Freshmen Eagles with a game high 20 points while Kamille Pryor chipped in with 10.
