Here are highlights from the action in the GMC Gold Division clash between East Brunswick Tech and Dunellen at The Faber. The Destroyers of DHS jumped out to an 11-8 first quarter lead, and then opened the second period with an 11-3 spurt that included two threes from Oscar Caballero and one trey by Tyje’ Kelton to take a 22-11 lead.
East Brunswick Tech, led by R.J. Jobin, Dan Rachelkyuk, and A.J. Rambone, rallied to end the first half with an 11-4 spurt to close within four at 26-22 at the break. However, Dunellen regained control again with an 11-4 spurt to start the third including a three point play by Caballero for a 37-26 lead.
From there, Dunellen cruised to a 54-41 victory. Kelton finished with a game high 20 points including two threes along with 10 rebounds for a double-double. Caballero chipped in with 18 points including two threes for Dunellen while Jobin finished with a team high 16 points for EB Tech. Rachelkyuk chipped in with 10.
