Here are highlights from the action in second ranked Woodbridge’s win over J.F. Kennedy in a GMC White Division clash towards the end of the third week of the 2016-17 Greater Middlesex Conference boys basketball season.
GMC Hoops traveled up to Woodbridge High School to take in the GMC White clash between crosstown rivals J.F. Kennedy and Woodbridge.
After a first period that saw Kennedy go up 7-0, Woodbridge rally to take a 9-7 lead, and six other lead changes, the home team Barrons outscored the Mustangs by a 22-6 margin in the second, and then by a 41-14 margin over the final two periods to post an 83-42 victory.
Quran Robinson led Woodbridge with a game high 22 points including six three pointers. Hura Blaine chipped in with 14 points while Keshaun Henry added 13. Kemari Persol and Harry Rutkowski also contributed with 12 and 11 points respectively.
Benji Pierre led Kennedy in defeat with 16 points while teammate Pete Obertan chipped in with 10 points.
