Here are highlights from the action in the Central Jersey Jayhawks win over Roselle at the 2016 Raritan Bay Summer League.
In the third game of the Friday quadrupleheader at the 2016 Raritan Bay Summer League at South Amboy Middle-High School on Friday night, the Central Jersey Jayhawks were in action again versus Roselle. After a little over seven minutes of action, the score was tied at 2-2, but then both teams got rolling by combining to score 31 points over the last 12:49 as the Jayhawks put together a 22-9 surge to end the half for a 24-11 lead at the intermission.
In the second half, Roselle rallied back with a 20-9 surge of its own to pull within two at 33-31 with a little over nine minutes remaining, but couldn’t get any closer as the Jayhawks closed the game on a 15-7 spurt for the 48-38 win. Derek Astarita and Alex Santiago led the charge with four points each while Eric Sokolowski added a late score to help seal the win. Sean Kudelka and Kieran Hodder were big on the boards with several blocked shots early on.
