Here are highlights taken from the action in the high school division contest between Central Jersey Kalahi and NYFAB at the 2015 C.J. Kalahi Hoop Fest that was held over the July 4th holiday weekend at the Metuchen Sportsplex.
Trailing 38-37 with five minutes to go, and struggling on offense, C.J. Kalahi found a way to rally with a pivotal 8-1 spurt that included a go ahead three pointer from the left wing and a conventional three point play to take a 45-39 lead with under two minutes to play.
C.J. Kalahi, led by the likes of GMC standouts Matt Panganiban, Thomas Christine, Simon Llaguno, and Shawn Bautista, and coached by current Piscataway Tech head coach, Lenny Reyes, then hung on to win, 47-43.
