Here are the highlights from the action in the 2016 East Brunswick Team Camp between Bishop Ahr and Monroe in the Lower Gym at East Brunswick High School.
The game was close throughout much of the first half before Monroe pulled away from a 15-13 lead with an 11-6 run to end the half for a 26-19 halftime.
Monroe increased its lead to nine on a couple of occasions in the second half before the Trojans of BGA made it interesting. Bishop Ahr trailed by nine at 38-29 before putting together a 9-3 spurt highlighted by a Sean Kudelka three point play and a Matt Pangniban layup to close within three.
However, Matt Hoyt netted a clutch three from the left corner for Monroe, and the Falcons made eight free throws down the stretch to seal the double digit win over the Trojans. Hoyt, Hassan Reid, and Eric Johnson all sank free throws down the stretch for Monroe in the win.
