Here are 2nd half highlights from the action in the opening round game in the 2016 Central Jersey Group 2 State Playoffs between A.L. Johnson of Clark and East Brunswick Tech. Leading 27-22 at the half, the Crusaders of A.L. Johnson opened the second half by scoring the first 15 points and outscored EB Tech by a 21-2 margin in the third to take a commanding 48-24 lead and coasted from there to a 60-28 victory. George Visconti scored a game high 25 points for the winners including his 1,000th in the third quarter to give Johnson a 40-27 lead. Mitch Becker chipped in with 17 for the Crusaders, who advanced to the quarterfinals to play 3rd seeded Rumson-Fair Haven. Silas Stanley led EB Tech in defeat with 11 points including 8 in the first quarter while Connor Stratton chipped in with 7.
