Here are photos from the action between Middlesex County College and Brookdale Community College in a Region 19/GSAC JUCO contest in Lincroft. Trailing 7-6 early on, Middlesex went on a 12-2 tear thanks to the scoring of Colonia’s Berruche Archille and three point shooting of E.B. Tech’s Mark Alston (two threes). Then, the Colts limited the Jersey Blues to one field goal over a span of 8:20 during an 18-8 run for a 36-17 lead with 3:24 remaining in the first half.
In the second half, Sayreville’s Bryant Webb took over on both sides of the court with his three point shooting on offense and blocked shots on defense to help MCC lead by as many as 30 points before coming away with the 81-52 win. Brian Crosby collected 12 points and 8 rebounds while Tavon Bennett chipped in with 11 in a losing cause for Brookdale. Middlesex improved to 4-4 overall on the season including a 3-3 mark in conference play. Brookdale dropped to 2-4 on the season including a 1-1 mark in the GSAC.
