Here is a slideshow of photos taken of the action in the 5th place consolation game at the 2013 Anthony J. Cotoia Tournament in South Plainfield. Monroe got off to a fast start by scoring 10 of the first 12 points of the game en route to a 13-4 first quarter lead. South Plainfield got within one point late in the first half, and then within one late in the game, but Monroe scored 10 of the last 14 points including a bucket with 2:10 left, and three free throws by Matt Cocorikis with 1:54 remaining to come away with the 64-57 win. Cocorikis ended up with a game high 24 points while Chris Germano added 19 for the winners. Brandon Bernard scored a team high 13 points for South Plainfield while Malik Cisson chipped in with 12.
