Edison Soars into Top 5 While Amboy Returns

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ—We are now about two and a half weeks away from the seeding of the 2020 GMCT, and there was a bit of a shake-up in the GMC Hoops Top Ten. The Edison Eagles win over Colonia on Saturday raised our eyebrows, and puts the Eagles in the Top Five for the first time every in the history of the GMC Hoops Top Ten at No. 4 this week.

In addition, Perth Amboy returned to the Top 10 this week thanks to its overtime win at Piscataway and Monroe’s loss to East Brunswick. South Brunswick moved up by virtue of its blowout win over Burlington City (95-62), which was ranked 20th in the state prior to the game. South Plainfield moved up to 13th this week after its longest winning streak since the 2006-07 season including a last second win at Middlesex.

Middlesex moved up to 14th thanks to getting 5 lints in its last 7 games including conference wins over Spotswood, Piscataway Tech, Perth Amboy Tech, and South River. Wardlaw moved ahead of Timothy Christian thanks to its wins over the Tigers on Friday (68-51) and over Spotswood (58-51) on Saturday.
