St. Joseph’s Returns to Top While Colonia and Carteret Make Big Gains

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ—The first three weeks of the GMC Boys Basketball season are already behind us, and just within the past few days, there have been some stunners around Middlesex County. There have also been the usual head scratching surprises. However, St. Joseph’s begins the new week at the top of the GMC once again.

The Falcons, previously ranked second, and coming off a stretch of 3 games in 4 days including a back to back consisting of CBA at the Shore Classic on Saturday afternoon, and a thriller against pre-season number one, St. Thomas Aquinas, has moved back up to the top perch in the GMC. Meanwhile, Colonia, off to an 8-0 start, has proven itself worthy of a big jump in the polls to third while Carteret has moved up to fourth.

Also entering the poll for the first time this season are Edison at No. 8, North Brunswick at No. 9, and Perth Amboy at No. 10 while Dunellen has become the highest ranked Gold Division team ever in the GMC Hoops Top Ten at No. 7. Below are the latest rankings according to GMC Hoops:
