Old Bridge Surprises Patrick School
JERSEY CITY, NJ–On Sunday afternoon, GMC Hoops traveled up to Hudson Catholic High School for the first time ever to take in action from the 2016 Hudson Catholic Fall League. The site saw action from the final two contests of the day including Old Bridge’s contest against the Patrick School.
In the first game, St. Peter’s Prep of Jersey City rallied from a 39-34 deficit with an 8-0 run to come away with a hard fought three point win over Immaculate Conception of Montclair. Then, in the nightcap, Old Bridge got off to a fast start, and then held off a frantic Patrick School rally for the upset.
Led by the efforts of Brandon Milling, Kyle Paris, and Will Osvald, the Knights jumped out to an 11-2 lead, and went on to lead by as many as 22 in the second half before the Patrick School put together a 28-14 surge over the last 10:59 of the contest. The Celtics scored 14 of the last 20 points, but Old Bridge managed to go 6 of 9 from the line including a perfect 4 of 4 from Paris to hang on for an eight point win.

The Hudson Catholic Fall League will not have any games next Sunday, October 23rd, but will return on October 30th for the final week of action.
