Monroe Falcons Win MJBL South Division Championship
MONROE, NJ–On Friday night, GMC Hoops traveled down the New Jersey Turnpike to the Monroe Sports Center to take in the Mid-Jersey Basketball Summer League’s South Division Championship between Monroe and the Central Jersey Hawks 9B squad. Avenging its only loss of the summer, Monroe turned a 9-8 deficit into a 30-15 first half lead with a 22-6 surge, and then put together a 19-12 run over the first 10 minutes of the second half for a 49-33 lead, and cruised from there to the title. Prior to the MJBL South Division Championship, there was another entertaining game at MSC. Trailing 41-29 with under 10 minutes to play, MAK Construction rallied with a 19-4 tear to come away with a championship of its own with a 48-45 victory over Inside Force.
