PERTH AMBOY, NJ–The Patriots led wire to wire in this non-conference game at Amboy Tech. Anthony Patterson scored 13 of his game high 23 in the first half. Patterson added 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 blocks in limited time. Jordan Cardenas tallied 10 points, 5 boards for the Patriots.
Alex Sanz and Anthony Vidal combined for 8 steals and 4 deflections. Sanz also contributed 6 points and 4 assists in the victory.
Junior Joey Castro scored 8 points and dished out 3 assists, with 2 blocks and a charge.
Zack Adams led the Jaguars with 12 points.
With the victory, Perth Amboy Tech improves to 13-7 overall including a 7-2 mark against non-conference teams. The Patriots will face Bound Brook in the NJSIAA Central Group I State Tournament on February 26. Somerset Tech falls to 1-15 overall on the year.
