St. Joseph’s Falls To New Dorp Of Staten Island In The Elizabeth Summer League Championship

ELIZABETH, NJ–On Monday night, GMC Hoops learned from Elizabeth head coach, and former South Brunswick head coach, Chris Balent that New Dorp of Staten Island won the Championship Game of the 2008 Elizabeth Summer League over St. Joseph’s of Metuchen, 51-48. The Falcons, which breezed past Sayreville after a tough start in the opening round, 64-47, and then won its semifinal game over top seeded Elizabeth, fell to New Dorp on a last second three pointer from 6’2″ wingman, Justin Alexander at the buzzer. The Falcons also reached the semifinals of the 2008 Linden Summer League Tournament.
