SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ–Now that the majority of teams in the GMC have unveiled their schedules for the upcoming 2007-08 season, GMC Hoops has begun to work on a scrimmage schedule for the upcoming season. As of the moment of this release, the site plans to see eight scrimmages from November 30th to December 12th, 2007. Seven of the eight exhibitions matchup GMC schools against teams from other conferences. The only scrimmage that involves two GMC teams is the last one on December 12th when New Brunswick visits South Amboy. Keep in mind that it is only the first of September, and there is still a long way to go before these matchups are finalized. So, below is what we have so far, and when we have something finalized, we will have the scrimmages posted on the
- 11/30/2007–Tri-Scrimmage: Piscataway, Somerville, and Watchung Hills, 4:00 PM
- 12/1/2007–South Brunswick at Neptune, 10:00 AM
- 12/3/2007–Metuchen at Rutgers Prep, 4:00 PM
- 12/4/2007–Tri-Scrimmage: J.P. Stevens, Monroe, and West Windsor-Plainsboro South, 4:00 PM
- 12/5/2007–Middlesex at Delaware Valley, 4:00 PM,
- 12/6/2007–Roselle Catholic at North Brunswick, 3:45 PM
- 12/8/2007–Edison at Dunellen, 10:00 AM
- 12/10/2007–Elizabeth at St. Joseph’s, 4:30 PM
- 12/11/2007–Colonia at Immaculata, 4:00 PM
- 12/12/2007–New Brunswick at South Amboy, 4:00 PM
Note: Also, keep in mind that my work schedule is now 9 to 5 (actually 8 to 4 starting the day after Labor Day). So, I will not be able to see all of these scrimmages in their entirety. Nevertheless, I will do what I can to put up any kind of info that I can from these matchups. In addition, I may add another scrimmage to this schedule before practices get underway the day after Thanksgiving.
