View the bracket for the 1973 Middlesex County JV Boys Basketball Tournament, which took place from February 16th to February 24th. Sixteen schools participated in this JV Tourney. Woodbridge was the top seed followed by J.F. Kennedy, Metuchen, and South River.
First-round games were played at J.F. Kennedy, New Brunswick, Sayreville, St. Mary’s (S.A.) (later became Cardinal McCarrick), and Woodbridge High Schools. Quarterfinal games were played at Sayreville, St. Thomas Aquinas, and Woodbridge High Schools. Semifinal contests were played at Cedar Ridge and Madison Township Schools.
The Championship Game was played as a part of a JV/Varsity Championship Doubleheader at the Rutgers University College Avenue Gymnasium. Sixth seeded Perth Amboy defeated 8th-seeded Colonia (77-54) for the title and finished the season at 19-5. The 1973 MCT JV Boys Tourney was full of upsets as the top four seeds were out before the semifinals.
