View the bracket for the 1978 Middlesex County Girls Basketball Tournament, which took place from February 13th to February 25th. This was the 4th annual Middlesex County Girls Basketball Tournament.
First-round games were played at Edison, J.F. Kennedy, J.P. Stevens, New Brunswick, South River, Spotswood, St. Mary’s (S.A.), and St. Thomas Aquinas High Schools. Quarterfinal games were played at East Brunswick, North Brunswick, Perth Amboy, and Sayreville High Schools.
Semifinal contests were held at J.P. Stevens High School. The Championship Game was part of a tripleheader at the Rutgers Athletic Center. Third-seeded Piscataway, led by 2,000 point scorer, Valerie Walker, won back-to-back titles by defeating top-seeded Sayreville (50-43).
