Piscataway freshman, Mickye Simmons goes up for a score in the second half of the top seeded Freshmen Chiefs, 63-34 victory over 9th seeded and defending champion, St. Thomas Aquinas in the Perth Amboy/GMC Freshmen Tourney Quarterfinals on February 10th in Piscataway.
On February 17, 2023, top seeded Piscataway’s freshmen completed an undefeated 23-0 season with a 72-59 triumph over 3rd seeded St. Joseph’s in the 32nd annual Perth Amboy/GMC Freshmen Boys Basketball Championship held at Perth Amboy High School.
GMC Hoops has put together the entire 2022-23 Piscataway freshmen boys basketball schedule with results as well as team statistics for the year. P-Way’s win in the final gave the school its 5th freshmen boys title since the tourney’s inception in 1991, and first one since 2017.
