SOUTH AMBOY, NJ–On Wednesday night, the third day of the seventh week in the 2008 Raritan Bay Summer League took place at South Amboy Middle/High School with another full slate of games starting at 5:30 PM, and continuing at 6:30 PM, 7:30 PM, and 8:30 PM. GMC Hoops did not attend the festivities at Raritan Bay on this night, but Tom Reilly, of the league directors was kind enough to provide us with the results from the contests played. Take a look at the scores below:
- St. Ambrose over St. Stan’s, 55-30–7th and 8th Grade
- Monmouth Breakers over East Brunswick, 50-45–High School Division
- Roselle over Sayreville Knights, 52-37–7th and 8th Grade
- Sayreville over Roselle, 42-40–High School Division
In the finale, the game was the best contest of the week so far according to Reilly. Roselle had an opportunity to tie the game with 3.2 seconds left, but missed both free throws. The week concludes with another set of four games on Thursday night.
