St. Mary’s of Elizabeth Rolls Past Woodbridge; EB Cruises By Middletown North

LINDEN, NJ–On Wednesday evening, GMC Hoops traveled out to the Linden P.A.L. to see most of all three games of the night at the Linden Fall League. It was a split night for the two GMC teams in the league as Woodbridge trailed 60-37 after three periods and never recovered in a loss to St. Mary’s of Elizabeth. East Brunswick then rode the hot hand of Gary Baumer, who went 6 of 10 from three for 18 points to help the Bears break away from a 5-5 first quarter tie, and then pull away in the third with an 8-0 run to open the second half for the win. In the nightcap, two non-conference teams went at it in the best game of the day as Bridgewater-Raritan overcame a 34-25 deficit midway through the third with an 18-3 run, and then held on to win by four over Westfield.
