2014 Hoop Group Headquarters Fall League–Some Results–Week Four–September 29th

Old Bridge Remains Undefeated; South Amboy and Sayreville Lose

NEPTUNE, NJ–On Monday night, GMC Hoops traveled down to the Hoop Group Headquarters after work to take in action from the fourth week of the 2014 Hoop Group Headquarters Fall League. All three GMC teams participating in the league: Old Bridge, Sayreville, and South Amboy were in action with the Knights playing during the 8:00 PM hour while both the Guvs and Bombers had contests in the 9:00 PM hour.

Jumping out to a 23-2 lead against Long Branch, Old Bridge got a solid effort from junior Connor Romano to remain undefeated on the fall at 4-0. Meanwhile, South Amboy gave Howell a good fight for the better part of 25 minutes or so of their contest before the Rebels pulled away to an easy win. Finally, Sayreville fell behind early to Lakewood, and despite Holy Cross bound big man Jehvye Floyd and Central Jersey Jayhawk Mitchell Strandberg being bright spots, the Bombers fell to the Piners. Below are some results from week four action at the HGHQ.
