Sayreville Falls to Roundballers in Opening Round of Playoffs
UNION, NJ–On Wednesday night, GMC Hoops returned again to Harwood Arena to take in the first night of playoff action in the 2015 Kean University Spring League. It was the fifth visit of the spring for the site. Eleven of the 12 teams were in action including Sayreville, the lone representative from the GMC in the league, which was taking on the Roundballers in the opening round with the winner to take on Notre Dame in the quarterfinals. After rallying to tie the game at 8-8, Sayreville fell behind for good as the Roundballers outscored the Bombers by a margin of 14-4 to take a 10 point lead and never let Sayreville get any closer than 5 points the rest of the way in a 63-39 win.
