St. Joseph’s Taking on Monteverde Academy for 2nd Time in 3 Years
UNION, NJ–Earlier this month, GMC Hoops learned that St. Joseph’s will be participating again in the Metro Classic being held again at Harwood Arena on the campus of Kean University on Thursday, February 11th and on Friday, February 12th. The Falcons will be involved in one of five match-ups. Two of these games will include Montverde Academy, the top ranked team in the country and led by top high school hoops prospect, Ben Simmons. St. Joseph’s will be taking on Monteverde in the nightcap on the first night. The Falcons played the Eagles in this showcase two years ago. Below are the match-ups taking place over the two days:
2016 Metro Classic–Day One–February 11th
- Hunterdon Central vs. Union Catholic, 5:30 PM
- St. Benedict’s vs. Linden, 7:00 PM
- Montverde Academy vs. St. Joseph’s, 8:30 PM
2016 Metro Classic–Day Two–February 12th
- St. Mary’s of Elizabeth vs. Gill St. Bernard’s, 6:00 PM
- Montverde Academy (FL) vs. Roselle Catholic, 8:00 PM
GMC Hoops plans to cover the final game on Thursday night.
