Plainfield Joins Tourney Field at Monroe This Year
MONROE, NJ–Earlier this week, GMC Hoops received the 2019 MTHS Holiday Tourney schedule. Once again Monroe Township High School will be running a holiday tournament this year. Last season, the Falcons won a thriller over Brick Township (51-49) on a last second shot by Josh Daniels, who is now playing at Middlesex County College. Monroe also made it to the final the year before, and lost to Brick Township.
This year, Brick Township returns only to take on Union County power, Plainfield in the opening round while Monroe once again hosts Robbinsville in the nightcap. The opening round of the tournament will take place on Saturday, December 28th while the final round will be played on Monday, December 30th. View the 2019 MTHS Holiday Tourney Schedule below.

2019 Monroe Township HS Holiday Tournament–First Round–December 28th
- Brick Township vs. Plainfield, 3:00 PM
- Robbinsville vs. Monroe, 7:00 PM
2019 MTHS Holiday Tournament–Final Found–December 30th
- Consolation: Brick Township-Plainfield loser vs. Robbinsville-Monroe loser, 3:00 PM
- Championship: Brick Township-Plainfield winner vs. Robbinsville-Monroe winner, 7:00 PM
