2020 All GMCT Girls Team

St. Thomas Aquinas’ Ransom Selected as Tourney MVP

NOTE: The 2020 All GMCT Girls Team is selected by Greg Machos and James Corrigan of GMC Hoops with exception of Tourney MVP.

EDISON, NJ—On Friday night, the top seeded St. Thomas Aquinas Trojans team won its second consecutive Greater Middlesex Conference Girls Tournament Championship, and 5th conference/county title overall with a convincing 64-41 victory over third seeded Monroe in the 2020 Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament at Middlesex County College.

St. Thomas Aquinas’ Kelsey Ransom, who has committed to play NCAA Division I basketball next year at Georgetown in Maryland and the Big East, collected a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds, and was selected as the GMCT Girls MVP. Ransom, who now has 1,510 career points, averaged 16.3 points per game over the four rounds of the Girls GMCT. She also collected 11.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 3.0 steals per game over the last three rounds of the tourney.

Ransom, who missed 10 games due to injury earlier this season, made 27 field goals, 2 threes, and 5 free throws during the course of the tournament including a 23 point, 11 rebound, 7 steal, and 3 assist effort in a 66-37 win over 9th seeded East Brunswick in the 2020 GMCT Quarterfinals.

Ransom is one of three different St. Thomas Aquinas players to be selected to the 2020 All GMCT Girls Team. Below are the selections:
