Transfers Bolster Already Strong Colonia Roster to Top Spot

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ—With the start of the abbreviated 2021 Greater Middlesex Conference boys basketball tournament less than 72 hours away, it is time to take a look at the upcoming season, and what teams to watch. Entering the off-season last year, St. Thomas Aquinas looked to be at the top of the GMC Hoops Pre-Season Top Ten when the scheduled start of the season took place last month.

However, the transfer of several talented players on top of a solid roster of returning players including Jordan Derkack, Ruben Reyes, J.T. Kroner, Noah Taylor, and Josh Oluremi, and a JV team that lost only one game, and won the 2020 EB/GMC JV Tournament, and incoming class of sophomores that contributed to a freshmen team that reached the 2020 Perth Amboy/GMC Frosh Tourney semifinals, makes Colonia the GMC Hoops Pre-Season pick for number one in 2021.
